About the event
What the course covers
Emergency response: Includes assessing the scene, summoning help, and managing a casualty in a primary and secondary survey.
Medical emergencies: Covers conditions like heart attack, stroke, severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis), and managing diabetes and asthma.
Traumatic injuries: Includes treating bleeding, shock, fractures, sprains, and serious head and spinal injuries.
Environmental effects: Addresses hypothermia, hyperthermia, and treating injuries caused by bites and stings.
Equipment: Provides guidance on appropriate first aid kits and outdoor equipment.
